British Railways Diesel shunter 12044 is seen passing through Saltley station in 1960. Built by British Railways as 7131 at Derby works in March 1948 D12044 was to remain in service until October 1968 when it was withdrawn to be scrapped by J Cashmore's of Great Bridge.
