LMS Route: Birmingham New Street to Tamworth

Ex-LMS 8F 2-8-0 No 48525 and class mate No 48538 stand opposite two other 8F locomotives inside No 3 roundhouse. Despite being an LMS design, both locomotives were built by the LNER at their Doncaster Plant, No 48525 in December 1944 and No 48538 in August 1945. The former locomotive remained in service until October 1965 when it was withdrawn from 82F Green Park shed in Bath, whilst No 48538 was withdrawn in March 1967 from 2E Saltley shed.
