A schematic of an undated plan of Redditch Gas Works and its sidings with key locations marked. The plan shows that British Railways locomotives were not to proceed into the internal siding but were, asconfirmed by Bob Essery in his book, allowed to shunt the other two sidings. This meant that these locomotives could be seen shunting the wagons over the Rotary Wagon Tippler. See 'misc_indust1478' for an example of a rotary wagon tippler in action.
