LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham
Northfield Station: mrn535
Looking through the three railway bridges that carried the
line and the adjacent siding over Church Hill. The far bridge which carried the
sidings comprised one small and one large archway whereas the others were
single archways. Between the two single archways on the left was the station
entrance to the island platform. The LMS signal and station sign on the bridge
are reminders that just seven years earlier this station was part of the London
Midland Scottish Railway, the largest of the "Big Four". 11th April 1955
