Ex-LMS 8F 2-8-0 No 48339 passes Kingsbury station's temporary accommodation whilst at the head of a Class J goods train. John Griffiths writes 'the structure nearest to the camera was the Station Masters Office followed by the booking Office. Just visible on the left, which was near to the entrance to site, is the old covered wagon body which we used as the goods office. The Station Master at this time (from 1960 onwards) was Frank Dainton who got the job after moving from being Water Orton's Station Master. The 8F had been built as LMS No 8339 by Horwich works in January 1944 and was to remain in service until October 1966 when it was withdrawn from 6C Croes Newydd shed.
