Ex-MR 0-6-0 3F No 43223 passes beneath Fordhouse Lane bridge on a Class K stopping freight of empty wagons. Another member of the MR's 1873 class No 43223 was built by Neilson & Company in 1890 and had a very long working life remaining in service until June 1959 when it was withdrawn from 21A Saltley shed to be scrapped during July 1960 by TW Ward Ltd of Killamarsh.
