LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

Hazelwell Station: mrhaz1993

Ex-LNWR 0-6-2T 'Coal Tank' is passing through Hazelwell bunker first on a SLS Special Rail Tour on 2nd June 1954. The SLS 'Birmingham New Street Centenary Railtour' of 02/06/1954 ran as follows. Proof House Junction-Aston-Perry Barr-Handsworth Wood-Smethwick-Galton Junction-Oldbury-Old Hill-Hunnington-Longbndge-Kings Norton-Hazelwell-Camp Hill-Bordesley Junction-Landor Street-Saltley then back up the Camp Hill line via Hazelwell but taking Lifford Curve to gain the line through Bournville and Five Ways into Birmingham New Street station This photograph shows the return journey looking towards Kings Heath.
