Ex-LMS 4-6-0 'Jubilee' class No 45577 'Bengal' is seen at the head of a train running wrong road on the up line due to Sunday engineering works being carried out on 24th April. Built by the North British Locomotive works in September 1934 No 45577 ran in service for thirty years before it was withdrawn from Shrewsbury shed in September 1964 to be scrapped by Birds of Morriston. Richard Strange writes 'this locomotive was noted at Pontypool Road en-route to the breakers on 6th February 1965'.
