An early 1930s LMS schematic diagram showing the final arrangement of Evesham Midland station

An early 1930s LMS schematic diagram showing the final arrangement of Evesham Midland station. The diagram dates before the signal box rationalisation when the Evesham North and Evesham South signal boxes were closed to be replaced by a new signal box, Evesham Station. The Stage which controlled the sidings at the Ashchurch end of the station was however retained. The above diagram shows the second connection to the GWR which joined the down line with the dock siding by means of a crossover between the up and down lines. The diagram shows: twelve wagons could be stabled on the exchange sidings by the up landing dock and that the marshalling sidings could handle up to ninety-seven wagons with the goods yard one hundred and ten wagons. Some fifty yards of road was provided in front of the locomotive shed which had internal capacity to accommodate two locomotives.
