British Railways built Ivatt Class 2MT No 46443 heads a train into Lawley Street sidings opposite to Saltley Depot. Built at Crewe works in February 1949, No 46443 was to remain in service until March 1967 when it was withdrawn from 9D Newton Heath shed to be preserved.
