View of the charred remains of the lorry/dray loading platform following the raid on 25th October 1940 The glazed canopy has collapsed and the railway and road vehicles which were positioned on either side of the timber platform have been burnt out. All that is left of the wheels in the foreground are their metal tyres and axles, the timber spokes being burnt to a cinder. Compare the above view with that seen in image 'mrcgy927' taken on 26th September 1922.
