LMS Route: Birmingham New Street to Nuneaton

Castle Bromwich Station: mrcb36

Looking north along the station's up platform towards Castle Bromwich junction during the mid 1950s. The station buildings at rail level were built entirely of wood although the platforms were built with a brick facing and paved edging with a tarmacadam surface. The British Industry Fair Exhibition site was to the left behind the tree line, adjacent to the site of the Castle Bromwich Spitfire works.
