Looking south towards the junction with the SMJ, which lay just the other side of the road bridge, and onwards to Evesham. The original Evesham & Redditch Railway structure was built in timber on a brick footing. This LMS view shows the original station sign which advised passengers of the Stratford line. The sign whilst MR in appearance is a single unit unlike the double unit sign normally seen on the MR (and indeed was also installed at the other end of the platform) see image 'mrbj156a'.
