British Railways built 4MT 2-6-0 No 43036 is seen at the head of a down ordinary passenger service on 18th June 1953. The photographer is standing Built at Horwich works in June 1948, No 43036 was to remain in service until May 1966 when it was withdrawn from12D Workington shed to be scrapped by the Motherwell Machinery & Scrap Company of Inshaw.
