Ex-MR 2-4-0 800 class No 24 stands in line outside the shed on the ash pit road ready for its next trip in February 1921. The locomotive was one of six based in Birmingham during the 1920s and was a Bournville locomotive from 1914 to 1926. Forty-eight members of the class were built by the Midland Railway at Derby and by Neilson & Company.
