A view of the Lifford canal branch taken on Sunday 20th January 1957, with a train of empty wagons heading in the Bournville direction. Until the deviation was opened in 1885, this was part of the Birmingham West Suburban Railway. Bournville shed can be seen in the distance, recognizable by the light coloured upper bodywork of the old coach body near its entrance.
