Close up of image 'mra139' showing a group of Midland Railway officials inspecting the eroded bank of the River Arrow as a gang attempt to repair the bridge. It would appear that the bridge's abutment has been completely swept away leaving the track, which is fixed to the steelwork, holding the girders in place. The structure to the right is a timber 'A' Frame used to provide lifting power to the gang with its jib (the arm) currently facing away from the crew and the photographer.
