Alcester Station: mra136

Looking towards Redditch with the junction to the GWR's Bearley branch line seen to the left of the GWR locomotive shed located behind the tree circa 1930s. The LNER vans are standing in the siding which passes to the right of the signal box seen in image 'mra130a'. The round disc next to the first van is a ground signal operated by the signal box and was used in lieu of the standard signal post with signal arm to advise the driver of the locomotive if he had 'right of way' to proceed on to the main line.
