Ex-LMS 4-6-0 No 45735 'Comet' at Winson Green on the 3:55pm Wolverhampton to Euston service on 11th September 1957. This locomotive was one of two Jubilee class rebuilt in 1942 with Stanier's new 2A tapered boiler, later to be used on Royal Scot and some Patriot class locomotives when their original boilers were life expired, and was originally built by Crewe works in November 1936 and was to remain in service until October 1964 when it was withdrawn from 16B Annesley shed to be scrapped by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
