A pair of ex-LNWR 0-6-0 'Cauliflowers', No 8455 and No 8453 are seen standing in line facing the junction with the Leamington to Coventry line circa 1929. Built at Crewe in November 1898, No 8455 was to be withdrawn within weeks of the above photograph being taken as it was withdrawn in September 1929 and scrapped shortly afterwards. Class mate No 8453 was just a few months older than its stable mate being built at Crewe in March 1898, however No 8453 was to serve a little longer lasting until approximately 1931 when it was withdrawn and scrapped at Crewe works.
