In addition to the railway's own sidings there were on the left a connection via the yard to a private siding too. Bob Essery states that this was shown on an LMS route plan being Everitt, Allens & Co Sidings but on a later signal plan as Avery's Sidings. Passing under the right hand archway of the footbridge is the single loop line or through siding that originated at Winson Green signal cabin as can be seen in the 1902, and later editions, Ordnance Survey map seen in image 'lnwrsoho3428'). A number of other sidings were accessible from the right of the yard and these included to Guest, Keen & Nettleford and Muntz's Metal works.
