View of the entrance to Rugby's three-road Erecting Workshop which was opened in November 1892. In 1935 the rope driven jibs on the overhead cranes were removed and replaced by electric motors. This did away with the long cotton rope which went the full length of both sides of the workshop. On the left of the building is a single storey 'lean-to' building with a siding and inspection pit. To its left is the stationary boiler which can be seen in image 'lnwrrm1026a'.
