LMS 4-6-0 Royal Scot class No 6111 'Royal Fusilier' with straight smokebox deflectors at the head of an up express. Built by the North British Locomotive Company in October 1927 No 6111 was rebuilt with the tapered 2A standard boiler and other improvements in October 1947 and as a 'Converted Royal Scot' remained in service for thirty-six years being withdrawn in October 1963 from Annesley shed for scrapping in November 1963 at Crewe works.
