LMS 4-6-0 5XP Jubilee class No 5555 'Quebec' is in immaculate condition when seen standing light engine inside Rugby station

LMS 4-6-0 5XP Jubilee class No 5555 'Quebec' is in immaculate condition when seen standing light engine inside Rugby station. Built at Crewe works to Lot 166 in June 1934 No 5555 was one of a number of the class to acquire Fowler 3500 gallon tenders when their Stanier 4000 tenders built to the same Lot number were transferred to the Royal Scot's class of locomotives. Over the subsequent years there was much swapping of tenders when the locomotives visited Crewe works for overhaul and therefore its not known whether No 5555 was still with a Fowler tender when it was withdrawn from service in August 1963 from Crewe South shed to be scrapped during September 1963 by Crewe works.
