Rugby Station - BR Period Locomotives: lnwrrm748

Ex-LNER B1 4-6-0 No 61083 is at the head of an Eastern Region special excursion as it passes through the station in May 1957. Number 61083 was built by the North British Locomotive Company to order 25838 in October 1946 and remained in service until withdrawn in September 1963 from Canklow shed. It was stored at Staveley Barrow Hill shed from October 1961 until finally scrapped by Marple & Gillott of Atterclife in April 1964.
