A 1929 aerial view of the wooden bridge with Rugby No 6 Signal Cabin seen on the right and the MR Signal Box on the left. Rugby No 6 Signal Cabin was closed in the 1930s as part of economy measures with its limited duties being taken over by the much larger Rugby No 5 Signal Cabin also seen on the right. Adjacent to the MR Signal Box a Beames 0-8-2T can be seen with a brake van in tow whilst to the right of the footbridge an ex-MR 0-6-0 4F shunts the sidings outside BTH's works with a rake of open wagons. On the extreme right an ex-LNWR 0-6-0 locomotive is bring out from the exchange sidings an up goods train.
