A group portrait of Rugby Shed's silver band in front of LNWR 4-4-0 Precursor Class No 515 'Champion' in 1912. We have no names of the persons seen in the photograph so would appreciate any further information. LNWR Precursor Class No 515 'Champion' was built by Crewe works in December 1904 and was later renumbered twice by the LMS, as No 5282 in November 1927 and as No 25282 in June 1936 to make way for one of Stanier's Black Five 4-6-0 locomotives. The locomotive only lasted a further 42 months as it was withdrawn in December 1939.
