Rugby's breakdown crane is seen attending to derailed carriage 'M25047' on 28th September 1960. The location of the derailment just in front of the Leamington bay would have caused the management a severe headache as it fouled the down main lines to Birmingham and Stafford. The identification of the ex-LMS 4-6-0 Class 5 locomotive is unknown but the smokebox number appears to read '446XX' indicating that it is one of the Class 5 locomotives built by British Railways.
