Ex-LMS 5XP 4-6-0 No 45500 'Patriot' is bedecked in wreaths
for the Remembrance Sunday memorial service at Rugby shed. The memorial service
was originally held to remember the LNWR employees who had lost their life
during the 'Great War' but was extended to remember the lives of the LMS' staff
who lost their lives during the Second World War. Built by Derby works in
November 1930, No 45500 remained in service until March 1961 when it was
withdrawn from 26A Newton Heath shed.
