Ex-LMS 8F 2-8-0 No 48221 is seen standing in line with others outside Rugby Testing Station in 1963. Built by the North British Locomotive Company in September 1942, No 48221 was to remain in service until February 1967 when it was withdrawn from 8F Springs Branch in Wigan.
