In his book Rugby's Railway Heritage Peter Elliott states that the principal buildings incorporated the following: Upside - Coke shed: lamp room, Post Office inspector's office; Station building: telegraph office, kitchen, refreshment room, booking office, ladies waiting room, superintendent's office, guard's room, parcels office, porter's room, and post office. Downside - Station building: ladies waiting room, refreshment room, and booking office.
