Rugby Shed: lnwrrm1056

LMS Stanier 2P 0-4-4T No 41909, Push Pull fitted, stands in store with an unidentified classmate alongside No 2 shed. Built as LMS No 1909 at Derby works in January 1933 it remained in service until withdrawn from Rugby shed in November 1959 to be scrapped by J Cashmore of Great Bridge. Dane Garrod writes, 'for your information the locomotive behind No 41909 is No 41902. I know because when I lived in Rugby I went on both locomotives' footplate whilst they were being stored'.
