Looking towards Walsall beneath the temporary footbridge constructed as part of the A34 - Walsall Road overbridge improvements as seen on 1st June 1961. The signal bracket seen at the end of the down platform (on the left) controlled access to two sides of the Handsworth Junction, Perry Barr North Junction and Station Junction triangle. The signals on the left controlled access to Handsworth Junction whilst the signals on the right controlled access to Perry Barr North Junction.
