British Railways Standard Class 7MT 4-6-2 No 70016 'Ariel' passes through Bromford Bridge whilst at the head of a special to Crewe. Built at Crewe works in June 1951, No 70016 was a member of the Britannia Class and remained in service until August 1967 when it was withdrawn from 12A Kingmoor shed in Carlisle.
