LMS 4-6-0 Rebuilt Royal Scot class No 6132 'The Kings Regiment Liverpool' wearing Gill Sans lining is seen on the up Merseyside Express making an unscheduled stop due to problem bearings on a coach circa 1948. Built by the North British Locomotive Company in September 1927 No 6132 was rebuilt just after the Second World War with a tapered boiler as seen above and remained in service until February 1964 when it was withdrawn from Kingmoor shed in Carlisle to be scrapped during April 1965 by Arnott & Young West of Scotland Shipbreaking Company of Troon.
