Looking towards Southam & Long Itchington as a local train passes the stations's up home signal. The photograph clearly shows that the down platform was served by a passing loop controlled from the signal cabin located on the opposite platform nearest the photographer. The single line electric staff system installed from the very beginning was the first of the type used by the LNWR which previously clung to the old manual system of issuing a staff and tickets when the staff was at an adjacent station.
