Looking towards Southam & Long Itchington station from the down side of Stockton Road bridge. The station appears to be a relatively clean condition indicating that the photograph must have been taken not too long after it opened on 1st August 1895. Most noticeable of all is the complete absence of any flowers or shrubbery. The station platforms and the buildings were entirely built with timber. The platforms were of standard height above the rails reflecting they had been built late in 19th century.
