A colour photograph of Marton Junction Signal Cabin erected in 1894 when the line to Weedion was opened. The small hut at the top of the steps housed the chemical closet so essential at these rural locations. The Signal Cabin name plate is looking very tired as is the woodwork which not only is devoid of paint on the cill on the bottom corner but it appears to be rotten too.
