Ex-LMS Rebuilt Royal Scot Class 4-6-0 No 46143 'The South Staffordshire Regiment' stands at the up platform circa 1962. Built as LMS No 6143 by the North British Locomotive Company in November 1927, No 46143 gained its British Railways number in September 1948 which it carried until December 1963 when it was withdrawn from 16D Annesley Shed. On the right can be seen the station forecourt whilst on the left are a rake of British Railways steel bodied mineral wagons standing in the LNWR exchange sidings.
