LMS Route: Rugby to Wolverhampton

Ex-LMS 4-6-0 5MT No 44867 passes the goods yard on the 3:55pm Birmingham to Peterborough service on 27th June 1961. Immediately behind the tender is a LNER coach indicating that its probably a through carriage to Harwich. Built at Crewe works in February 1945, No 44867 was to remain in service until June 1967 when it was withdrawn 9 B Stockport Edgeley shed to be scrapped by J Cashmores of Great Bridge.
