Looking north from the occupation bridge towards the rebuilt road bridge on 21st August 1965. The original station building has been retained (although it was subsequently replaced by another structure on the upside of the bridge) although the passenger footbridge which provided access from the original building to both platforms has been replaced with a new concrete bridge. The occupation bridge was accessed from Station Road which ran parallel with the railway on the left, leading from the roadside station building.
