At the far end was the gentlemen's toilet with access being obtained via a door in the gable wall. The doorway furthest away from the photographer has a sign outside which together with the porters trolley by the door indicates that this room is the porter's office. On the platform is a bench seat, train indicator board and scales. Train indicator boards were common at large stations but rarely seen at small stations en-route.
