LMS Route: Grand Junction Railway

An unidentified ex-LMS 4-6-0 'Black Five' locomotive is seen passing through the station on a down service to Stafford in the early 1960s. Attached to the platform lampposts at intervals are the signs indicating to drivers where 2, 4 or 6 unit sets of Diesel Multiple Units (DMUs) should stop.
