This 1931 aerial view of Foleshill station shows the lengthened platform and the old structures on the original platform. The building of the various factories in the area required the station to handle large volumes of workmen at the start and end of each shift. Hence the covered waiting areas needed only to be built to a basic design without such comforts as heating or seating.
