The L & B station is seen in the foreground whilst the GJ station is seen surrounded by a high wall behind the tracks running to the 'Railway Station for Goods' later known as Top Yard on the other side of Duddeston Street. Hardwick's building and the hotel extension are seen to the left of the L & B trainshed. A single line is seen looping from the trainsheds to the canal wharf.
