Close up of image 'lnwrcov622' showing the end of the parcel dock adjacent to Coventry No 2 signal cabin with the parcel platform on the right. It would appear that the buffer stops to the two sets of sidings are formed by the stone edging to the platform/hardstanding with a heavy duty bulk timber fixed to the face at buffer height. The siding nearest the signal cabin is protected by catch points located just before the points (nearest to the camera). This was a safety feature to catch wagons before they entered into the path of traffic travelling on the main line. A small brick built hut can be seen just above the Vent Van.
