Looking towards the parcel depot's offices built at the
Birmingham end of Coventry's up platform. An ex-LMS 50 ft Brake Van in British
Railway's maroon livery stands in the siding. This view shows mix of different
styles of building reflecting the ad-hoc building of the station over sixty
plus years. On the extreme right part of the 1848 building can be seen with the
Station sign mounted on its face. Behind and towering above is the main station
building constructed as part of the 1901-4 extension whilst to its left is the
brick built parcels store built a decade earlier.
