A second view of Coventry No 1 Signal Cabin showing with the empty stock working still held at signals. When the signalman at Coventry No 1 Signal Cabin finally pulled off, the empty stock working was signalled along the through road, and Coventry No 3 Signal Cabin had cleared his distant. The LMS bracket signal in the foreground replaced the poorly sited earlier LNWR signals. The down main bracket signal was arguably not too well sited either being only just high enough to be seen at a distance over the Quinton Road bridge. However, it was then too high to be seen comfortably close up, especially in fog. The BR replacement was put in on the other side of the bridge. The building to the right of the signal box is what passed for a coal stage at the loco shed. Mike Christensen
