British Railways 4-6-0 Standard Class 4 No 75036 is seen piloting ex-LMS 4-6-0 5MT No 44837 on an up through working on 5th September 1953. The Standard Class 4MT is only a matter of weeks new being built by Swindon works in August 1953 and would only remain in service for a short period of time being withdrawn in June 1966 from 5D Stoke-on-Trent shed to be scrapped by Birds of Long Marston. The 'Stanier Black 5' was built by Crewe works in September 1944 and was to remain in service until September 1967 when it was withdrawn from 8A Edge Hill shed to be scrapped by J Buttigiegs of Newport.
