Ex-LMS 6P 4-6-0 Jubilee class No 45592 'Indore' with an up express approaching Warwick Road bridge in 1956 with the station beyond. The coaches on the right are standing on sidings located opposite the main warehouse and alongside Spencer Park. To the right of the coaches and facing on to Warwick Road was a structure used by the Parcel service. Alongside this structure was a number of railway cottages built very early in the station's history and later demolished to make way for an extension to King Henry VIII school. Built as LMS No 5592 'Indore' by the North British Locomotive Company in December 1934 it remained in service until withdrawn from Newton Heath shed in September 1964 to be scrapped by the Central Wagon Co of Wigan in February 1965.
